Squadron BBQ

Last night we had about 20 people from Philip's squadron over for a BBQ.    We had a few yard jobs that needed to get done first, and since Philip was working all day, the kids were a big help!

They helped me put new mulch between all these paving stones at the back and also in the flower beds in the front

On Friday evening, our friend, Dawnita offered to take the kids for the evening, so Philip and I were able to go to Lowe's and get a bunch of plants and stuff for the yard without hauling the kids along - so fun!

Front porch

Window boxes in front of the boy's bedroom

The fountain all cleaned out and bubbling merrily =)

We also have a big fern on the fence near the weeping willow and a hanging basket on the patio.   It's so nice to have the yard all looking nice and be able to enjoy it!

A random picture of Moriah's Anna and Elsa tattoo =)

Philip did a great job cooking up a ton of burgers and dogs on our new grill and the guests brought sides to share.

All the yummy sides

Some of our guests

A few more inside

There were seven kids, so our kids were happy!

Quite a bit of this happened

It was a fun, gorgeous evening, everyone seemed to have a good time, and it was nice to be able to put faces on the people Philip works with on base! =)

I LOVE the blue flowers on the front porch. And such a cute chair. Were those window boxes always there? Or did you add them this year? I don't remember seeing them before and I LOVE window boxes :)
Looks like you had a fun party too. So glad you're enjoying your house and yard :)

It's amazing how having company motivates you (meaning not you, in particular, but the collective you, as in everyone) to get things done! That's exactly what happened with us when it came time to host our LIFE group. lol. Everything looks so amazing and I love the flowers in the window box. So glad you got the fountain up and running again. It is so pretty! Good job Team Dooley!
