The Good Life

We are so blessed. We have three great kids, a warm house in the snow, a great job for Philip to go to, a Great God up in heaven, and love in our home. Here is how it has looked lately:

Three little hands

Caleb playing ever so gently and making sweet music

An elaborate magna tile construction down the steps!

Silly boy at bedtime

The boys reading lego project books together

Caleb and Moriah's castle

On Thursday night, I went out with a bunch of friends for margaritas and Philip hosted a guy's game night.  They played "Game of Thrones".

Some of them showed up 15 minutes early to set up the board!

Wow, that's a lot of pieces

This is them still playing when I got home over three hours later...

I took the kids to the Wichita Art Park to a "MonArt" class on Friday night.   They each got to paint their own wooden canvas:

Moriah making her purple sky

Keenan initially wasn't interested in doing it, but then changed his mind and had a great time!

Caleb even made one (with minimal help from Mommy)

We went with some friends, here is Lily with Moriah

My friend, Suzanne, and her other daughter, Kate

The boys

Half way through, they took a break for their projects to dry and listened to a snowman story

 Here are their finished pieces

I love them so much!   I think they will be part of our winter decor for a long time

On Saturday morning, they went to a bi-weekly art class that we started two weeks ago.   They learned about water color painting and mosaics:

Getting started

Backgrounds almost done

While they finished their class, Caleb and I went to Dillon's (a different one than we usually go to).   We were delighted to find that they had kid's carts!    Caleb was sooo cute, (if not a little dangerous), pushing the cart around all by himself!

So proud!

Back to pick them up from class...

Keenan's tree

Moriah had to take some paper and finish her butterfly at home, that was a lot of gluing!

So awesome!

Probably one of the most impressive things Keenan has ever made out of magnatiles!
(I know there has been a ton of magnatiles in this post, which is really because, even after all this time, they are still one of the best and favorite toys in our house!)

Looking out our snowy front window to the snowy outside

I have been quite active with cooking, baking, food photography and posting new stuff on my food blog if you want to check it out.

Fun stuff! Living where there is snow looks like so much fun! I really want some maple snow now and the kids' art projects are all so great. :)
