Highlands Hammock State Park

Three hotels in three days!   We've got the unpack and repack thing down to a science... =)

Our adventures today started with a geocache that quickly turned rugged!   The path disappeared, we abandoned the jogging stroller, and this is what we were dealing with...

Cuh-razy! =)

Crossing a small stream (I soaked my whole right foot here)

This is us at the final geocache spot (the cache had been recently destroyed by the wood chipper that took down the forest behind us. =0/

The kids thought these tree fibers made funny hair...

... I agree =)

Philip ended up going back through the bush and carrying the jogger out so that we could take the long (but clear) way back to the van... impressive!

This park has over 30 miles of trails.  We enjoyed a few of them...

Check out the size of this tree!   It's a Live Oak

This one is 1,000 years old!!

Cute little monkey

Then we took a nice walk on one of the boardwalks that winds through the trees

Looking up at another huge tree

Caleb took his afternoon nap on the Young Hammock trail

Me in the pretty forest

So sweet...

The kids have been dying to go swimming, but, since we're in Florida, all the hotel pools have been outdoor, and the weather has been just a little too cool for it to be fun.   Today, since we are further south, it was a gorgeous day, and we got to our hotel earlier in the day, it was warm enough to take them to the pool.  Not warm enough, however, for "Florida adults" to want to swim, so only the  kids got wet!

Moriah trying to be brave

Caleb ended up getting a quick drenching by toppling head first of the top step =)

Keenan reminding his swimming muscles how they work after a long time of no use!

Helping Moriah in =)

I love this one

About as close as I got to swimming =)

Silly goof getting her hair wet

Splashing his toes

Caleb has no concept of danger and kept freaking us out..

... like this...

So we just ended up strapping his life jacket on him
(He liked it at first)

... but soon decided it was cramping his style =)
(Is it mean that I love this picture??)

Cannon ball!

Riah and Daddy playing =)

We had a delicious dinner at Bob Evan's (finished off with fresh strawberry pie), and are all pretty excited about Lego Land tomorrow!

Love you all,

Wow, too bad about the geocache getting destroyed, isn't there a law against that??? =)

Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems?
A few of my blog audience have complained about my site not operating
correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote
the book in it or something. I think that you can
do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit,
but instead of that, this is excellent blog. A great read.
I will certainly be back.
