Geocachin' on the Road

We did several geocaches on our way home from Merritt Island this time.    It definitely helps break up the driving when we stop every few hours to take a walk/hike! =)

The first one, at Ravine Gardens State Park was Gorgeous!!  This trail we were on was called "Azalea Trail".  I can only imagine how beautiful it must be when they are in bloom!

At the cache site (it was so lush!)

Cool suspension bridge!

The kids climbing the stairs at the end

The second, at Mike Roess Gold Head State Park...

Keenan and Moriah climbed out on this huge branch

The third one, at O'Leno State Park,  I sat out, since Caleb was asleep...

I love this shot of Moriah under the boardwalk with the cache and Keenan up on top

Another suspension bridge

Caleb's funny post nap hair

Our final one at Torreya State Park, was our longest cache walk to date.   It was over a three mile round trip hike!    It was Not flat terrain, either!

Caleb all bundled into the moby wrap

Philip and Moriah coming up a hill

On Every uphill, Philip was carrying one of the bigger kids!

A brief break

One of three bridges we crossed

Finally at the cache!

The whole bridge from the side

We sure got our exercise on that one!   We all slept well that night and Philip and I were both sore the next day...  Good times, though. =)

Chuck E. Cheese!!

Since we had already planned to take two days to come home from Merritt Island, it was easy to work in our nephew's birthday party on Friday morning.   The best part?  It was at Chuck E. Cheese and the kids and I had Never been!!  =)   It was really fun!

Caleb on the little carousel

Moriah on a fun ride that goes up in the air as you pedal!

With Reagan

Matt and Reagan got to go in the "Ticket Blaster" for a minute and collect as many tickets as they could
(you can redeem the tickets for prizes at the end).  They even caught the "1000 Ticket" card!

Ready to pull the strings on the pinata!
Instead of candy, it was full of tokens (to play the games) and tickets (for prizes)

Happy 8th Birthday, Reagan!  We were so happy to be at your party this year!

At the Park with Papa

Mom, Jeff, Isaac and Grandma Eberts left for Ohio this morning. It sure seems quiet around here with just us in the house! We spent part of the day with Dad, Matt, Jess and the kids...

After eating up a bunch of leftovers for lunch, we headed to the park in the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful weather and help the kids burn off some energy.

"Look Mom, no hands!"

Being silly with Papa

Unfortunately, right before we arrived, a boy had fallen off the top of one of the play structures and was being loaded onto a stretcher by paramedics.  Shortly after, this helicopter landed right next to us in the football field and took him away!

Philip with both the babies when they got up from their naps

Jeff had made these cookies (with cookie molds) the day before Christmas, with the intent that the grandkids would decorate them.  However, time got away from us, and Jeff left this morning... and the cookies were not decorated.  Jessica and I had the kids decorate them this afternoon while they were together, so all Jeff's effort was not in vain.  I decorated the OSU (I can't actually say it on this blog) in his honor.

It was a fun day!   Tomorrow we start our trip home.  What a great visit we have had! =)
