Phone photos, etc..

Here are a few cute pictures from Philip's phone and what we've been up to today:

The kids trying on shades at Walmart a while ago

This was yesterday when we stopped in to see Philip at work (I love it!)

Caleb with Philip's mousepad (that's Keenan at about the same age, with the same two teeth!)

Today was RAINY and stormy! =0/

Keenan was up first, and we decided that the first order of the day would be him learning how to tie his shoes.  He did great!

After that the two older kids and I hung out in my bed watching youtube videos of people falling down... very funny. =)

Next, they had Oreos for breakfast.    Seriously.  They also had bananas and they dipped their Oreos in peanut butter, so it's all good, right?

At 9:20, yup, that's right, Caleb woke up!  I think the storm (and the house being so dark from it) kept him asleep longer than usual.  It was awesome!

Then I tried out the new "hair chalking" fad on Moriah's hair - and I love it!!   It's totally washable and totally cute!

She really liked it, too! =)

You can see the streaks a little better here

We did some set up in our school area (will post pictures when it's done), and I signed us up to become members of the local Christian Homeschool Group.   Fun stuff!

I'm working on my first ever (and hopefully last!) military shadow box project.    Not totally my cup of tea, but it's kind of a cool experience, I guess.

It's late... I need to get to bed.

Alaina's Birthday

Margarita Monday tonight was extra fun because we got to celebrate Alaina's birthday (which is tomorrow), too!

Alaina and Melissa

Nathalie (and baby Jane beside her), me and Terri

We did this on a timer and I love how it turned out!
(Is it just me, or do waiters/waitresses usually take really bad pictures??)

Alaina and her family have been such a blessing to us in the short time that we have known them, so it was really fun to be able to make her feel special and celebrated this birthday.

Keenan Rides!!

We bought Keenan a new bike today, and within 40 minutes of getting it home, he was riding it like a pro! We are soo proud!

Happy guy

On his own!

This has been a big week for him!   He lost his first tooth, learned to count to 100 by 2's, learned the months of the year, and just today learned our address and phone numbers!    What a guy! =)

Quick Catch Up Before a New Week Starts

Seriously, where do the days go???

Here are some pictures from the last little while...

Andrew and Bethany with Caleb

Keenan and Moriah went to a fun birthday party last Sunday afternoon.   Evie, the birthday girl, was in Keenan's class at Wesley Academy.

Happy guy by the pool

Caleb makes a new friend

Having a great time!

Moriah taking the plunge

Eating cake

Last night, Philip and I had a (very overdue) nice date night!    It was our first time out without Caleb!  Thanks, Melissa and Devin for babysitting!

We had a nice dinner and then went to see "The Dark Knight Rises"

It was really good!

Today we hung out with our new friends, the Grays, at Lincoln Park and the kids had a blast jet skiing and swimming.

Philip and Moriah towing Keenan and Nora Jane

They were going slow here, but I love how uninhibited Keenan is on here! =)

Little goofy

Full jet ski!

Philip stretched Nora Jane's "comfort zone" with the speeds he was doing =)

Doin' my thing (great pics, Philip!)

Moriah and Noble playing together
(somehow I missed getting any pictures of Vivi)

We have Jade and Eden sleeping over tonight (since Devin and Melissa had a date night tonight), and we have house church in the morning, so I should get to bed...

Andrew and Bethany's visit

We are blessed to have Andrew and Bethany visiting with us right now for three and a half days!   They arrived Sunday evening and came to our small group, and they will leave sometime tomorrow.

It's been fun to have them and I think they've had fun too.   They've been to the beach (twice), gone go-carting, showed me their honeymoon pictures (the rest of you will have to wait for them on Facebook), Bethany joined me for Margarita Monday with my friends, and today they took the jet ski out.

Andrew had also fixed a few things for us (small things, we're trying not to make him work too hard, and hung some pictures for me).   Such a handy guy to have around! =)

Pictures from jet skiing today:

I love this reflection picture I was able to get of the kids at the park

Keenan loses his first tooth!

Today was a big day in our house!   After a few days of having a wiggly tooth... today was the day!   He told me he was "just ready to have it OUT!"   So... I took it out, easy peasy.   He.  Was.  Thrilled!

I took this a few days ago (last picture of his full set of baby teeth!)  Sniff.

New smile!

The tooth!

Wow.  Time flies.   He and Moriah and I were just watching videos on the blog of when Keenan was two (he sounded sooo cute the way he talked!) and now he's a big five year old losing teeth!  What!?

Monster Jam!

We went to a Monster Truck Rally last Saturday night in Mobile, Alabama.   Keenan (and I) especially had been looking forward to it! =)

We ended up only seeing half of it, and leaving at intermission because someone (Keenan) hadn't napped and ended up taking his ear plugs out, getting a headache and Very, very cranky and just wanted to leave.

Here are the pictures:

Waiting in line to get in

We got (free) tickets to the "Pit Party" before the show, so we were able to be down on the floor and see the trucks and drivers up close.

Yup, that's a big truck

This was the only truck we actually stood in line to have our picture taken with

Me with one of the gigantic tires on El Matador

El Toro Loco

This was my favorite because it was almost "cute!"
Monster Mutt (driven by a woman!)

Grinder again

The famous, Grave Digger (celebrating 30 years)
I really don't like this one, it's too creepy

King Krunch

El Matador again

Right before the show

All the drivers

Sweet vertical action from El Matador

Good jump from King Krunch

Caleb, surprisingly, seemed to really like it!

With my ear plugs in =)

These cars have seen better days

Grave Digger in the air

Here's a short video clip of one of the races

So, the evening got cut shorter than we had planned, which was a bummer, but we had a great time while we were there!   I was totally unprepared (we Did all have ear plugs) for just how LOUD it would be!

Moriah, to our surprise, LOVED it!  =)   Funny kid.

Monster Jam.   Another thing to check off the list (and maybe do again without kids so we can see the whole show) =)
