Our Sunday and a Monday Surprise

Yesterday we bade farewell to Rob, Ada and Brayden... =0/

Devin and Melissa joined us for church and we all went out to Cici's pizza for lunch afterwards. (This was after Keenan stepped in an ant hill in the parking lot and I had to strip off his shoes, socks and pants!! Ouch!)

Here's a picture of the kids - in awe of the lego train under the Christmas tree. It's a highlight of the season around here. =)

We took our Christmas pictures yesterday and I got the cards (my free ones from Shutterfly) made and ordered last night. We saved over $100!!

It has been a great Monday! Philip surprised me this morning by saying that he didn't have to go in to work today, and since the kids were with Devin for the day, we did a bit of shopping and then he took me out to lunch! What a great guy!

When we got home, I got to take a Glorious nap (I was severely sleep deprived from the past week of waking up multiple times in the night with Moriah), and I slept for at least two hours!

Tonight is Margarita Monday - woohoo!

Wrappin' Up...

Rob and Ada will be heading home in the (early) morning... =0/ We've had a wonderful four days with them and Brayden!

How cute is this kid????

This afternoon we went to the beach to take pictures of them for their Christmas card and then went to Logan's for dinner.

One of the four of us

All of us at dinner

It will be a while until we see them again... they will be almost ready to have their new baby!

My First 5K!!

My first 5K, "Run for the Angels" was this morning! It was put on by the Salvation Army, and supports their Angel Tree ministry that provides Christmas gifts for children who's parents are unable to do so. It was awesome!

I was hoping for cool weather for the run, and I sure got it! Brrrr! It was only 34 degrees when we ran!

It was a great run, and I'm thinking about doing another one in two weeks!

Cold, but excited to be there!

The child assigned to me

What a goof

Cold hands!

Go, go, go - there's the finish line!

32.28! (10.4 minutes per mile)
3.5 minutes faster than my last record time of 36 minutes!

I am very thankful:
To God - for an able healthy body, which I realize is a blessing, not a right
To Philip - for supporting me in my new found love of running
To Laura H and Rebekah W - who have inspired me to make some healthier lifestyle choices
To Ada - For joining Philip in the cold at the sidelines
To Rob - For watching all three kids at home to save them from the cold!

It's Done!!

Philip and Rob finished the play set yesterday! We are SO excited! I'm posting a couple pictures, but will wait to do the "here's the whole thing" picture until we have the mulch down and everything...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Devin and Melissa and their kids joined us for dinner and we ate Well! We had turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato biscuits, and Melissa made green bean casserole and Amazing sweet potato casserole. For dessert we had turtle pumpkin pie and apple cranberry pie! Yum!

After dinner we played Whoonu and Taboo - fun times! =0)

Lunch break at the mini picnic table =)

Thanksgiving Eve

It has been a restful day (with naps for all!) here at our house today. Keenan has been having a blast having Uncle Rob to play with (cars, trucks, wrestling on the trampoline, chasing, etc), and Moriah hasn't been shy with them at all and has spent a lot of time snuggling with Auntie Ada!
Brayden is a doll, and is super sweet and fun to have around. =)

We took Philip his lunch and had a brief tour of the base before picking up pizza and heading home for lunch. It's great having them here to hang out with - they're very laid back, easy going house guests! =)

I have decided I am Not a hot weather runner! Today it was 72 out (not hot for Florida but much warmer than it has been recently), and I went for a run and could Totally tell a difference from running when it was cooler! I had sweat running into my eyes when I got home! Hmmm... what does that say for my running when summer comes???

Not Here Yet...

So, Rob and Ada were scheduled to arrive at our local airport at 7:32 this evening. I showed up, and lo and behold, due to the fog, they'd been rerouted to Pensacola! When they arrived there, the airport was shut down because of the weather, and they were to be cabbed here by Delta. It is now 10:43, and they aren't here yet. Expecting them any minute. What a day for them! =0/

Sunday check in

Poor Moriah is sick, sick, sick!! We stayed home from church this morning because she's been congested with a cough for the last few days, and then this afternoon she has just been miserable, and has thrown up four times! =0/ It's so sad seeing her feel so bad...

Thankfully, Keenan was invited over to play with Jade and Eden, so I've been able to just focus on taking care of Moriah, rocking her, giving her baths, snuggling, etc.

Philip has gotten So much done on the play set today and it is looking Great! =)

Keenan's play date turned into... his first ever sleep over tonight! =) We just talked to him on the phone to say goodnight and he didn't seem the least bit homesick and was pretty excited about it all. I'm so proud of him and happy for this "first" for him, but it's a little sad for me... he's growing up!

Catch up

Ya, ya, Mom, here I am!

Let's see... what's new around here....

On Thursday my MOPS group celebrated Thanksgiving together. We had an Amazing potluck together, and a wonderful time of sharing about what or who we are thankful for. Each person brought a picture, and I chose to talk about Myrtle. =)

Moriah has been rocking the potty lately! Definitely not all the time, but at least once a day now (three times today!!) Number one And two! Pretty exciting stuff! =)

Philip is making Huge progress on the play set! It's really starting to look like something out there now!

He and I got our new trampoline up on Thursday night, which is very exciting for all of us! The kids Love it and are quite hilarious on it! =)

I've been running more lately and am feeling really good about my first 5K next Saturday! I am also (along with a bunch of friends on Facebook) "Losing 10 Pounds Before Christmas", so it's handy having my race just two days after Thanksgiving, to help me focus!

I am VERY excited that in just three and a half days, my brother Rob, his sweet wife, Ada and my (recently turned one) nephew, Brayden are coming! They'll be here for four days, and we'll get to celebrate Thanksgiving with some family and Rob will be able to help Philip finish up the play set!

I have not had the camera out much the last couple days, but here's a fun picture of Keenan in the bathtub:

He loves it when I blow Big bubbles for him!

Our Little Lady =)

I can't believe that our baby girl is going to be two in a month!

I love this picture of her today, looking like such a little lady!

Also big news for her - she has successfully used the potty twice in the last three days!

Cough, Sneeze, Blow Nose, Repeat...

Here are my pictures from the birthday/fall party that Rebekah and Josh hosted to celebrate Judah's first birthday! Not a detail was missed...

Aren't these cupcakes ADORABLE???

Cute little pumpkins

Pumpkin/squash bowling!

Gorgeous lights on the deck

Pretty food table

Working on a cool fall craft!

Each of the kids got a hand towel to make a "hand print turkey" on!

Keenan showing the turkey who's boss =)

Moriah (the happiest she was all night - not feeling well at all)

I am not feeling super great today. I've come down with a pretty nasty cough/cold combo that has me barking, sneezing and blowing until I'm worn out! I dropped the kids off with Devin for a good chunk of the day, knocked out most of our Christmas shopping, bought groceries, and then fell into bed. I even missed Margarita Monday tonight! =0/

Gonna hit the sack...

It was awesome having Philip home for the day on Thursday and he got a Lot done! On Wednesday he stained the new fence (which looks great!) and Thursday he got a ton of work done in the backyard - it's looking so good!

Yesterday morning I had three energy filled boys racing around the house! =) Jade was here while Eden was having a tooth pulled, and Elijah was here while his mom was getting ready for a party (it was tonight and it was Awesome! Pictures to come soon..), so it was a little crazy around here!

I put on some Veggie Tales music...

... and was able to get Jade to show off some of his dance moves! =)

After Melissa picked up Jade, we took Elijah with us to Destin Commons for their monthly kid's activity. The kids had a great time playing on the playground, making a fun craft, and getting cool Christmas candy!

All three of them working on their craft

Things are continuing to come along with the yard (I'm not ready to post pictures until it's done!) Philip, (Keenan), and Devin worked out there a lot today. Here is a picture of Keenan from last night when he came in after helping Daddy =)

Dirty helper!

This morning Philip brought up the huge boxes from the basement that had all the wood for the play set in them. I used some of them to make a fort for Keenan, which he loved. =)

In the tunnel

The opposite end

Well, that about catches me up to the party that we went to tonight. We had a ton of fun, but I'm waiting to post pictures because I'm hoping to steal some from Rebekah! =)
