Love long weekends

Today has been spent doing stuff around the house, meeting up with our new friends, the Storeys, at the splash park on base, and finishing up with the pictures for the tutu website.

This one didn't make the cut, but it's cute! =)

Keenan on the run

Moriah's got the ball!

I also realized that I had totally forgotten to post pictures from our last MOPS meeting of the year on Thursday!

The kids and I during set up bright and early

Everyone that was able to make it to our "Hawaiian Luau"
(Not sure how my "baby pager" made it to the Front of my skirt!)

Andrea and I (last MOPS together, since she's moving soon!) =(

...and the Hula hoop contest!
(Andrea dared me to wear the flower bikini, and you know me and dares...)
I went for 3 minutes and 4 seconds, but was beat out by Destiny (as if I had a Chance against someone with That name!?!)

Eden Gardens

We decided to go to Eden Gardens State Park this morning. Philip and I had been once before (when Philip did a rotation at Eglin during medical school). It has been updated and changed a Lot (for the better) since we were there last and is amazing! It was a pretty relaxed place to be with the kids, since there wasn't a lot of trouble they could get into and lots of open space to run. =)

It did get pretty hot as the day went on, but the shady trees and breeze helped.

Road trip with Scuffy! (She did soo well the whole time!)

The Gorgeous old house in the middle of the grounds

Moriah in one of the cool rocking chairs on the huge porch

Someone offered to take a family picture for us, in exchange for "borrowing Scuffy" to make both of their little boys look the same direction for a picture! =)

Keenan did Not want his picture taken, so... we did the "You better not smile! No laughing!"

...there it comes

Ha ha!

That's what we were looking for!

Can't stop giggling =)

My favorite shot of the day

Checking out the cool goldfish!

So picturesque!

Cute kids

Moriah watching the fish

Us girls by the pretty hydrangeas

The only picture I have from the rose garden (we were just passed their peak, I think)

I love this picture - boy and dog, both with their tongues out! =)

So pretty...

On the Nature Trail

You can See how hot we were here!

Love this

We had a delightful picnic in the shade of one of the huge trees on the lawn, with a nice breeze blowing (very fancy food we dined on, too!)

Not a great shot, but there's me too

Sneaking up on the kids (just as Keenan threw the leash in the water!)

Sunshine on a stem!

Moriah on the pretty flower path

The kids (and Scuffy) were both asleep soon after we left, so we took the scenic route home, along the water and enjoyed the view and all the beautiful beach houses! What a great day!

Four Day Weekend!

Woohoo! We are enjoying our four day weekend!

Here are a few pictures from yesterday and today:

At a tiny park on the water near our house

Cool reflection in the water

My man

Had to get Scuffy in there too!

Moriah had corn on the cob for the first time last night!
She ate All but about six kernels!

I've been taking pictures like a mad woman today... but not of the usual stuff (people)... tutus!! The owner of Amelia's Tutu Boutique has hired me to photograph her products for her website! She dropped off a Load of tutus and other fun stuff for me to take pictures of over the weekend! Fun stuff. =)

Here's one of the pictures I snapped of my favorite model:

Birthday Dinner

We went out for dinner last night at Ruby Tuesday. I'd say it's one of our favorite restaurants, And it's close to our house!

We had a delicious dinner and got a couple cute pictures. What a great end to a great birthday!

I LOVE this picture of Philip and Moriah!!

It looks like I'm pinching Keenan, but really I was tickling him! =)

"WHAT all does Mommy have in her purse??"

Thanks again, everyone, for a great 29th Birthday! =)

Gettin' Old, Gotta Cold

The first birthay present I received today was waking up to find out that I have a cold! Oh well, it's still a great day!

I am soo blessed! I have been receiving cards and gifts in the mail, birthday calls (one from Mozambique!), birthday emails, ecards, facebook birthday wishes, a birthday text, online gifts... Thank you to all my family and friends who have made this day so special!

Here is a random selection of pictures from the past couple of days:

Sweet Moriah
(These pearls were given to me by my mom, who got them from her mom! How special!)

Moriah and Myrtle

I can put bows in her hair now! Woohoo!

What a goof...

On Monday night, I went to a MNO (Mom's Night Out) with a bunch of friends from my MOPS group. We went to TGI Fridays and didn't leave until 11! Fun times!

The whole group

Towards the end of the evening, they surprised me with the staff singing Happy Birthday and bringing me free ice cream! How fun! =)

Me reenacting the surprise for a picture =)

We met some new friends yesterday. Josh (one of the new interns starting next month), and his wife, Rebekah, just moved here from Colorado with their two sons, Elijah (almost three) and Judah (six months?). We had Elijah come play this morning while they went to an appointment on base and then we all went to Lincoln Park together after. They are great and we look forward to getting to know them much better over the next three years! =)

Keenan and Elijah got along great and are such kindred spirits! It's so fun for him to have a new friend since most of his will be leaving in a month! =0/

Giggling on the trampoline (they played Hard!)

Snack time

* Keep in mind that Amelia's Tutu Boutique will still be linked on the side of my blog! The owner has asked me to do some photos of her products to put on her website, so that will be up and running soon! If you have any questions, please ask!*
