First load out!!

Operation Clean Sweep is actually happening, folks! Between giving stuff to friends, and carting some off to Goodwill, this is how much stuff left our house today (and this is only the beginning!)

Baby clothes, toys, paraphernalia, adult clothes, random stuff
(Man, did it ever feel good to get it all out!)

Moriah was given the world's cutest rainboots (by Aunt Patti, Angela and Bridget) when she was only a couple months old. I have been waiting and waiting for them to fit (not thinking that they'd fit Before she learned to walk!)

With these chubby little legs, the time is now or never!

Keenan had to go get Daddy's boots on and Moriah thought they were pretty awesome!

Why am I wearing boots in the house?

...and the items I chose out of the garbage were...

The pedestal and the two frames! Congratulations to Rebekah and Denise who guessed exactly right! I Had strongly considered the flower pot as well, and now that so many people have suggested it, I'm going to get in the car right now (at 9:55 pm) and see if it's still there, because the garbage goes out in the morning! See ya!

(Just got back, 10:02 pm, it was still there!) =) Goodnight!

Baby shower!

First of all, a huge thank you to Wendi for most of these pictures! (That's why you'll see mostly repeats from her blog today!) =)

Tiffany's shower was soo much fun! You really can't go wrong... an afternoon spent with great friends, chocolate fondue, other yummy treats, cake, and presents... what more do you need? =)

Wendi was the main planner and did a fabulous job of pulling everything together! Jodi, as always was the perfect hostess in her beautiful home, Kacey did a great job of decorating, and everyone pitched in to make it a smashing success! Yay for Tiffany and baby Reagan!

Kacey decorating (she is going to make a Gorgeous bride in a couple months!!)
(The most hilarious thing about the shower? There was football on the TV in the background almost the entire time, without anyone really noticing!)

Girls and boys go their separate ways

This afternoon, Moriah and I went to a baby shower (just about the most girly thing two girls can do), and Philip and Keenan spent the afternoon together doing boy stuff. I don't have all the pictures from the shower yet, so I'll just post about what they did for now, and talk about the shower tomorrow.

Before we left, they were out in the driveway, "playing racquetball". Keenan really wanted to play with the racquets, so Philip decided to see what he could do with the ball. He actually had a few good hits!

Learning the swing

Philip practicing on the low wall beside the driveway

Keenan going after the ball

...and hitting it along the ground =)

After all the racquetball they were tired out and needed a nap =)

Moriah and I ready to go to the shower
(She actually ended up wearing a different dress, since she spit up on this one)

After we left, Keenan took a two hour nap, and then they headed to Lowes. They returned some stuff, and then picked up some lightbulbs, sat on a bunch of tractors, looked at tubs, showers, ovens, countertops, cabinets, watched a guy cut up some lumber, payed for their stuff and went outside and sat on some more tractors.

On their way home, they went on base to buy gas. While Philip was pumping the gas, Keenan was eating his snack. When he got back in, Keenan said, "The monies went down the hill" ("down the hill" means "down my throat") Philip said, "What!? Did you put money in your mouth?" Keenan said, "Yes", Philip said, "Where is it?", Keenan said, "It went down the hill. It's my fault." Philip now realized that yes, Keenan did in fact swallow some money. "Does it hurt anywhere?" he said, "No". Then he asked, "Does it feel like it's stuck anywhere?" Keenan said, "Yes". "Can you point to where it feels stuck?" He didn't.

At this point Philip decided to turn around and head to the hospital. Keenan said, "I put money in mouth, but I can't take it out, it went down the hill".

When they got there, Philip went on his computer and read about swallowed objects in children to decide whether or not they needed to get an xray. He decided that they should, so had one of the interns order an xray.

Keenan did really well, and here is his penny!

Turns out it wasn't stuck after all, and they weren't too worried about it. We should see it in the next week or so, and if not, we're supposed to take him back in for another xray to see where it is. Sheesh. =)

On a random note. I saw this bunch of stuff at the end of someone's driveway today. After verifying that it was indeed being thrown away, I chose three items. Which three?

When Philip saw them he said, "I think Operation Clean Sweep has been reversed!"

Short, sweet visit with Papa is over

Philip's dad left early yesterday morning to head back to Merritt Island, FL. He was only here for about 36 hours, but we sure loved having him and Keenan got in a LOT of playtime during his visit!

On Thursday night we went to Outback for dinner...

One of the headbands I made recently for Moriah
(I've seen some really cute ones recently, especially on my blogger friend, Rachel's sweet baby girl, and thought I'd try to make some!)

Keenan kept pretty busy during dinner...

Coloring...

Playing with trucks...

But mostly, being very sneaky at stealing our drinks and sampling them! =)

Moriah was quite charming the entire night and would smile and coo at anyone who stopped to check her out =)

Look at Moriah checking out my food! =)

Daddy and Moriah at home

LOL

Great three generation picture

"Grandpa, when I see you again, I'll be a year old!"

I love how they're laughing at each other here

Another headband I made, although Philip and I both think this one's a little big maybe... =)

Learning to use her new sippy cup!

Both kids asleep in our bed

"Aaahh! There's a snake in the pool!"

Mmmm... tasty

Love that smile!

No, they're not sunbathing

While I was folding laundry, Keenan found this hat and wanted to wear it (It's obviously waay too small), and decided it was his "helmet" to keep him safe while riding his car-turned-motorcycle =)

I think that about catches us up to today. I'm getting ready for a baby shower for Tiff this afternoon (should be a great girl's get together, with fondue and lots of other yummy stuff!), while Philip and Keenan have some "guy time" together. =)
