Back to the Sunshine State

It is so good to be home. We had an amazing time away and got to see a Ton of special people, but as usual, it was incredibly busy and after sleeping in four different places in the last week, we are happy to be home to our own nest again...

Yesterday we left Ohio around noon, and ended up stopping for the night somewhere in Tennessee. If we had driven right through, we would have gotten home around 6 or 7 this morning, and Philip I would have both been in desperate need of sleep, and the kids would be wide awake. We figured it would be best to get some rest and just get home later today. We did all get a pretty good night's sleep and after several stops, we got home around 3, I think.

We unloaded the van, bathed both kids, put them down for naps, and I headed to the Commissary (since we had no food in the house). Philip was headed to bed as well, but apparently, as soon as I left, Moriah woke up, so he didn't get to lay down until I got back. (She is sleeping soundly now, of course).

Here are a few of the pictures from our day:

Keenan watching Cars, his first ever DVD in the van!
(He watched for about 12 minutes and was done)

We picked up lunch at Wendy's and then headed to a park to eat before driving the last leg home...

Here's Keenan being a little more brave than I would like...

...and getting a hand from Daddy

Riah and Daddy on the swing

I love this expression!

Me and my girl

I am working on a mammoth post, with a lot more pictures from the whole week... it will be up in the next day or so...
