Our 'Tiny' package has arrived!

Moriah Joy
Born 17-December-2008 at 0433
Weight: 6 lb 10.7 oz
Length: 18.5 inches

Picture proof of her weight, almost 2 pounds less than Keenan

That's some happy and beautiful Momma

And Daddy didn't waste any time before teaching her about Michigan

Thank you Andrea for some clothes that are small enough to fit!

Keenan meeting baby Moriah (he says Maya) for the very first time

The first ever picture of ... the four of us. That phrase took some getting used to.

Enjoying the warmer after her bath

Keenan really wanted to hold her himself

We're planning to come home tomorrow evening or Friday morning and there are plenty of additional pictures and a few videos that Joia will post in the future but those will have to wait till we've gotten a little bit more sleep. Thanks so much to all our visitors as well as family and friends that we have talked with today. Special thanks to Dr. G who delivered Moriah and, since she is a Family Medicine doctor, is now taking care of both Joia and Moriah. Thank you Dr. S who helped Dr. G with the version a few days ago that prevented a c-section. Also many thanks to the nurses and techs on L&D who have taken great care of us. Thanks to Kacey for covering my continuity clinic this morning so I could get some sleep and stay with Joia and Moriah. And last, but certainly not least, thanks to Cliff and Jodi who are hanging out with Keenan for us while we're at the hospital (and in Jodi's case going even further above and beyond in getting our van from the dealership and a snack from Sonic). I'm sure I'm forgetting more people, please forgive me, but I am exhausted.

Shoot! I'm only the 2nd person to comment! I was hoping to be first! Yipppeeeeee!

Oh and to everyone who isn't here to see her in person, this is a REALLY pretty baby. I'm not just saying that. I think most newborns are funny looking, but this one is quite a beauty!

What a beautiful little family the four of you make! Such exciting news, our only sadness comes from the fact that we can't get in the car and drive down to meet Moriah.
Love you all!
We're so happy for you,

Congrats, Joia!!!!!! I am so, so happy for you guys! She is gorgeous, you are gorgeous, Philip is... I'll just say handsome, not gorgeous, and I love that pic of Keenan and baby Moriah. So... in the trend of things, will Wendi's Elijah come at 37-ish weeks, too? :)

Congrats! Welcome to the world of little girls, Joia! How exciting! She's adorable and how lucky for you that she came early (and was so "tiny" :)). I was showing Nathan the new pics of your family (when I asked if he wanted to see them he said 'yeah (like why wouldn't I) and he rushed in. I commented on how great you looked Joia and he said ' she looks like she's just holding someone else's baby - not like she just had her own'.
Congrats - we love you
L and N :)

Congratulations on the new addition, Dooley family!

She's perfect and you're going to love having a girl. Actually one of each is the best of both worlds, speaking from experience.

Keenan is already looking to be a fantastic older brother & Joia, you look so happy, you'd never know you just went through labor!
Phillip just looks thrilled.

Welcome baby Moriah!

Ok, 16 comments and no grandmas yet, what is with us Kathleen? What a beautiful new born! The first picture looks SO like Philip but a later one looks very much like Joia as a new born... not too surprising. Joia you look great. You too Philip... your father-in-law always looked worse than I did afterwards... = ) He said "Man, having a baby is hard work..." So happy for you guys, can't wait to see you all. Love you...

Oh, I forgot to comment on something Dad made note of. He said it was interesting that your name is Joia Marie and that your baby is Moriah Joy, almost a switch of the same... interesting, did you realize that???
