The nesting continues... =)
Even though it's still over six weeks until the baby is due, I've Really been wanting to get "baby stuff" out for quite a while. Since Keenan will still be using the crib in his room for at least a while after the baby comes, and he/she won't have their own room right away (since we don't want to sacrifice the spare room), I set up a "baby area" in the dining room for the baby's use during the day for the first few weeks/months.
It's been especially fun getting those tiny, newborn clothes out again! Yay!
I also moved some stuff around in our bedroom and moved the cradle up from the basement. I like to have the baby in with us for at least a little while. Keenan ended up being such a noisy sleeper, that he only got two weeks in our room. =) Hopefully this one will be a little quieter...
Other than getting baby stuff ready, today I also:
Wiped down all (8) of our ceiling fans
Cleaned the stove top
Moved a bunch of outside summer stuff into storage
Organized Keenan's room
In other news...
Keenan's talking has really taken off. He now says, "Bass You!" when I sneeze, and he is picking up new words every single day!! I think he'll likely be finished with speech therapy soon (which I'm sort of hoping for, since I'm not sure that I'll want to lug two kids there twice a week). He'll definitely miss "Baba" (Barbara), though, and the cookies at the end. =)
Philip is on an Orthopedic rotation for a couple weeks right now and is usually done around 4:30! We're loving that!
We are considering taking another camping trip (just the three of us this time), during Thanksgiving weekend. We'll definitely have to bundle up at night, but we thought it would be fun to take one more "mini vacation" with just the three of us, where Keenan can have some special time with us all to himself. We plan to go to a camp ground in Alabama, and possibly look at a mini van while we're there too! Yes, it does look like we'll be joining the ranks with several of our friends in the mini van club... we just don't think we can make one of the "cooler" options (Honda Pilot, Highlander, etc) work as well for us.
