Happy Thanksgiving!

Today has been a beautiful, fun day!

This morning, Philip got to sleep in a bit (he so deserves it), and I made some food to take to our Thanksgiving get together at John and Wendi's. This afternoon, before heading over there, we stopped in to see Frank and Myrtle. This was the first time we've been healthy enough to visit them since Frank came home from the hospital. They were thrilled to see us, especially Keenan, and Frank looked Really good! Myrtle seemed to be doing much better also, and they had just had a delicious Thanksgiving meal, brought over by their church.

Since we hadn't been over there in a while, he was a bit shy at first, but soon warmed up...
Here he is taking a walk with his "Myrno"

Back at home, sporting lipstick on his nose from a kiss from Myrtle =)

We had a wonderful afternoon/evening with John, Wendi, Wendi's parents, George and Diane, and our friends, John and Becky!

The food was amazing... John did the bulk of it and is a Fantastic chef! Look at all of this!

We had turkey, lamb, dressing, gravy, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli casserole, brussel sprouts and rolls (I Think that's everything).

Enjoying the feast!

And for dessert...

Chocolate peanut butter pie, apple pie, turtle pumpkin pie, ice cream, apple quince pie and chocolate cookie bark!

By the time dinner was over, we were all about ready to roll into bed for a long nap! =) We got to bring home a ton of leftovers too! Awesome!

Before heading home, we played a game of Trivial Pursuit - the Pop Culture addition. I didn't personally know many of the answers, but we had a fun guys against girls game with lots of laughs!

Philip plans to head out early in the morning to get at least one Black Friday deal, and then later on in the morning we are heading to Mobile, Alabama for some fun time away. We opted Not to camp this weekend when we looked at the expected temperatures (brrr!) and are going to spend one night in a hotel instead. On Saturday we plan to go to Battleship Memorial Park and tour the U.S.S. Alabama as well as a submarine, and some planes and tanks.
