Great Mom's Walk

The Great Mom's Walk happened today in Fort Walton Beach. (Thank you to those of you who sponsored me!) This was our MOPS group's largest fundraiser of the year. We had almost 80 moms and their families come out to the event. It was a lot of fun! Besides free t-shirts and goodie bags (full of great coupons and freebies from tons of places) for all the moms, there were free donuts, bagels, fruit and drinks available. Lots of different businesses came and did demonstrations or gave free stuff away and there were fun activities for the kids (crafts, a big inflatable slide, a fire truck to climb on, etc..) The Salvation Army also came and gave away hot dogs, chips and drinks.

Philip had to work this morning, but kindly took some time off so he could come watch Keenan for me for a while, so I could help at the First Aid table (nothing "first aidy" happened while I was there, I just mostly gave people sunscreen, bug spray or wipes). He did the walk with us too, before he had to go back to work for several more hours.

The start of the walk

Philip chatting with Erik (one of his fellow interns)
I think he was really relieved to see another male there that he knew! =)

...and a whole bunch more moms!

Some of the food (and the fun slide in the background)

Philip and Keenan playing

When Keenan and I came back after dropping Philip back at work, he was asleep in his car seat... and stayed that way once I put him in the stroller! =)

They gave away a whole bunch of door prizes at the end, and I won a free pedicure! Yay!
